Subscribe via EmailI started my adventure in the Home Medical Equipment industry in 1999 working for an Interwest Medical branch in Pleasant Grove, Utah before it was purchased by Praxair Healthcare in 2003. I was a one man rehab show in Pleasant Grove, but was able to collaborate and learn from the team in the Salt Lake City branch. I worked for Petersen Medical in Orem, Utah in 2003 before moving to Florida in 2005 to work for Total Medical Solutions. I took on the task of spinning off the rehab department into an independent corporation and was asked to take on the position of General Manager of Total Mobility and Modification Services until 2008.
While I was in Utah I specialized in pediatric wheelchairs simply because that was the majority of the demand in my area. I did, sold, and supported everything else as well. Total Mobility specializes in Worker's Compensation insurances. Worker's Compensation does provide opportunities and challenges that Medicare and traditional 3rd party insurances do not. In addition to specializing in wheelchairs I have gained extensive experience in home modifications and accessibility.
I completed my ATS accreditation in September, 2006.
